this is where we start.

My semi-custom process is for those who love my work and want a piece shaped just for them — your stone, your size, your details — without the overwhelm of a full custom design experience. If you’re not quite sure what you want yet, that’s okay. We’ll figure it out together.

This is a semi-custom experience, meaning we work from existing Star Hitched Wagon designs and styles you already love. It’s about creating your version of my work — not starting from scratch or designing something entirely new.

How the process works

Once your deposit is placed, I’ll reach out within 24 hours to start the conversation. From there, we’ll move through the details together in a clear, guided way.

Here’s what I’ll ask to help shape your piece:

• What type of piece are you dreaming about?
Earrings, ring, necklace, cuff, bracelet, hair pick — we’ll begin there.

• Is there a Star Hitched Wagon design you already love?
If a past piece caught your eye, send it along. That gives us a strong starting point.

• Stones you’re drawn to
I regularly work with stones I keep on hand, including lapis, chrysoprase, amethyst, carnelian, turquoise (many varieties), peridot, variscite, citrine, garnet, and smoky quartz. I’ll share photos of available stones.

Each stone is one-of-a-kind. Once you choose yours, it’s reserved just for you.  Then we will move on to band or chain options, accents, and design details that align with the style you’ve chosen. If you’re unsure at any point, that’s part of the process — conversation is welcome and encouraged.

About pricing & budget

This listing is for a deposit only.

Once stones and design details are selected, I’ll provide a final quote based on materials, complexity, and the piece we’ve landed on. Pricing varies, and I’m always happy to work within a general budget — just let me know what you’re comfortable with early on so we can guide the process accordingly.

Once the quote is agreed upon, the remaining balance must be paid within 24 hours so I can schedule your piece for creation. If payment isn’t received within that window, the deposit will be refunded and the stones released back into inventory.

Timing & communication

Clear, timely communication keeps everything running smoothly. After your deposit:

• You’ll have 48 hours to respond to my initial questions
• Design details and decisions should be wrapped up within a few days
• If I don’t hear back, the deposit will be refunded so I can keep my build schedule moving

Once the final invoice is paid and details are locked in, please allow 10–14 business days for completion. This timeline begins after the quote has been paid, ensuring I have uninterrupted time at the bench to build your piece with care.

As long as I haven’t started creating, changes are welcome. Once I begin building, the design is considered final.

• Chain & Stone Bracelets — $200–$70
• Turquoise Hair Picks — $170 –$400

Custom pieces qualify for free shipping thresholds.

I don’t take inspiration from other artists’ work, so please don’t send photos of designs that aren’t mine. This semi-custom process is about creating your version of a Star Hitched Wagon piece — based on my existing designs and style.
